Workshop Description:
Challenging cases! The workshop presents practical and applied strategies for treating severe personality disorders. Rapid assessment of ego functions, common factors that lead to affective dyscontrol, stabilizing neurobiology, effective limit setting, techniques for achieving emotional control and more effective coping, management of suicidal and self-mutilation behavior. Primary intervention approaches include dialectical behavior therapy, some psychodynamic principles, psychopharmacology, and lifestyle management.
